Remember as your eyes burn from the smoke today, Ken Sim and ABC voted to allow fracked gas in new builds, cancelled $8 million in climate retrofit grants; voted against funding for cooling kits for people in the Downtown Eastside; and got rid of the climate justice charter.

A second poll out on the Vancouver race, with undecideds stripped out, this one with Sim in the lead. Another small sample size, but in both polls there’s a clear tier of Sim-Fry-Allam as the top three, Hardwick lurking in 4th, and a big dropoff to Bligh/Azaroff/Allen

To the people who still envision a walkable, vibrant Vancouver, it's still possible. ABC killed the plan today, but OneCity is committed to bringing more diverse, thriving neighbourhoods to every community. Be a part of it - donate or volunteer at the link in bio.

So Vancouver council voted down the Villages plan (as expected) …. But it seems they did pass the updates to R3 zoning that would enable projects like our “Four/Five” single stair prototype to be built in existing R3 zones.

Ok that’s it. I committed to a year of French when the kiddo enrolled in late entry French immersion. You can probably guess which of the two of us can actually speak French a year later…
