The BBC is losing the plot. Apart from the insane over-promotion of Reform, they are making ludicrous claims like this: “Updated 31 August 2026……… there is comprehensive coverage of the final Grand Slam of the year across the BBC”. Turns out this actually means Radio 5 Live and some podcasts.
One of the first "outrageous" claims I saw as Jason Arday's media hounding unfolded was that he ran 30 marathons in 35 days! Wow! What a thing to claim! And the newspapers all suggested there was no evidence he actually did it. Well, they clearly didn't look very hard 🙄 🧵 1/26

So why do our bosses have to constantly challenge us to find something, anything, for which AI might be helpful If your customers don’t find your product useful, that’s a you-problem
People need to jump on this “new normal” nonsense and stop it. Similarly, the notion we’ve lucked out to be getting a Mediterranean climate. The fauna, flora and ocean life of the British Isles developed over millennia based on a particular climate. A radically changing climate changes everything.

This Times headline needs reworking. How about “Short-sightedness will kill us all”? Not doing net zero means the planet becoming unliveable for most species. Having blackouts until we get energy sorted out should be the least of our worries.
