Professor who actually likes my students, free expression advocate who actually means it. Some jerk impersonates me in web contact forms. The real me wrote: https://press.princeton.edu/books/paperback/9780691240008/try-to-love-the-questions

I'm just going to point out that this has already happened to 4500+ trans people in the military, except there's no happy ending for them. No acquittal. Just a rigged separation board and a discharge code that guarantees they will never work again.

It is genuinely bizarre that we’ve become acclimatized to right wingers throwing a tantrum every time a black person (particularly a black woman) is cast in something, but are also supposed to pretend that this is not racism but related to some other substantive concern.

The claim “RFK Jr. does not fuck chickens” is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that RFK Jr. fucks chickens.

KEY POINTS
• The claim 'vaccines do not cause autism’ is not an evidence-based
claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism.

here’s my offer, The Atlantic magazine, I will read the next “reactionary pretends to give honest advice to Democrats” take if you let me write a piece where I, a DSA member, pretend to give honest advice to Republicans

“Democrats appear slow to recognize that ideologues on the left are attempting a hostile takeover of the party,” James Kirchick writes. In looking for a way to reclaim control, he argues, they could find inspiration in British history:

The US built the greatest talent magnet ever, attracting the smart, skilled, and striving. They’d come to study, then stay and build things here, or leave with positive impressions and fruitful connections. Helped make the US wealthy and powerful. Then America chose to throw it away. And for what?

Congrats we just made it impossible to come here for a PhD www.bostonglobe.com/2026/07/16/m...

I have grown tired of Prof. Wurman’s defense of his own bigotry by claiming I “lack reading comprehension.” I will waste no more time on him and his evidence-free dreck after this. Yes, his blanket moral claim is racist. Yes, his “evidence” is ahistorical. His arguments are sloppy and confused.

Next government should immediately destroy it, maybe after destroying the militia movement. But we won't. We never dismantle brand new tools of oppression, like the DHS, shit that didn't exist when I was in high school.
