I always find it amusing when a modern AU Wen Ning is a kindergarten/elementary school teacher. I’m sorry, that man could not maintain order in a classroom. I have watched him being bullied by a gaggle of small children in the street.

I guess one silver lining of a travel day from hell is that I’m no longer sad about my trip ending because I’m so happy to have finally made it home.

It gives me so much joy that Stormy and I finished and posted this chapter of lighthouse fic from an operational lighthouse. If only we could write all our chapters at lighthouses from now on.

It’s canon era, but in this AU there were only three major clans: Wen, Jin, and Lan. Until the Wen tried to take over and the Lan and Jin sects formed an alliance to take them out. The power vacuum left in their wake has the minor sects jockeying for power.

I like that Charlotte Brontë was basically telling a soapy saga about how the world is a hard and complicated place and sometimes Shit Happens, and Jane Austen is just like, “I’ve met the worst and simultaneously most boring people you can imagine. Hunker down, let me tell you all about them.”

The fact that POS is also a business acronym brings me so much joy
