2. **Generate a configuration file:**
Move to an empty directory and have Chatto generate a configuration file:
```bash
chatto init
```
This creates a `chatto.toml` with random secrets for cookie signing, cookie encryption, runtime-token verifiers, asset signing, and NATS authentication.
**Take a minute to review this file.** It's already a working configuration, but you may want to customize some things. You will _definitely_ want to provide SMTP credentials.
3. **Start the server:**

chatto run
```
