Great new work from @theresecollins.bsky.social, PI of the #BRAINFLOW group at @upcite.bsky.social 😎
New preprint! What the eyes do when searching for a visual target reveals the psychological similarity between objects, just like more classic (but much longer & tedious) tasks like triplet odd-one-out and direct comparison. www.biorxiv.org/cgi/content/... #BRAINFLOW @upcite.bsky.social @cnrs.fr

authors.elsevier.com/c/1nA3C_KOmx... new paper in Neuron in which we argue that many claims on consciousness in AI & animals etc are inconsistent. they are driven by theories/views that are not really supported by empirical evidence. they confuse subjective experience w/ cognition or perception

🚨New publication! I am extremely happy to share this new review article in elife on #Traveling_Waves! @erc.europa.eu @upcite.bsky.social elifesciences.org/articles/106...
Traveling waves across scales: Different mechanisms but same canonical computation?
The review proposes a novel mechanistic distinction between first- and second-order traveling waves that subserves a same canonical computation by ordering neuronal processing to impose a computationa...

Propagation of activity in LFP was termed "traveling waves" (TW)🙂↕️. But then people took this concept and began calling EEG phase lags TW🤨. This review delineated these two types, introducing first-order and second-order TW. Also, the authors review possible origins of two types (distinct origins!).👏

Happy to have contributed to this very nice work by @benjamingriffiths.bsky.social! 🚨 Check out the new preprint!
Delighted to share our new preprint! We show that rhythmic light stimulation produces multiplexed oscillatory responses at fundamental and harmonic frequencies that are spatially, temporally, and functionally distinct. Read on for the details [1/6] www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1... #neuroskyence

Open postdoc position👈 We have an open position, starting early 2026, to work on an exciting project aiming at better understanding the role of thalamo-cortical brain oscillations in perception with a comparative, cross-species (animal-human) component based on electrophysiology (incl. scalp EEG).
Dugué Lab PhD student, Yue Kong, is presenting at #ICON2025 in beautiful Porto, our @erc.europa.eu (ERC) funded work on #Traveling_Waves and #Attention using simultaneous MEG and EEG in human. @kirstenpetras.bsky.social @upcite.bsky.social

Around 80 M1 across the 6 tracks and 65 M2 students, we are proud to welcome the new 2025-2026 #cog-SUP cohort! Master in Cognitive Science from @upcite.bsky.social and @sorbonne-universite.fr
does someone good at coding & analysis want to work remotely w/ us in the coming few months (before end of 2025), as a paid consultant? project will be on neurofeedback (fMRI, ECoG, calcium imaging). we'll work towards developing the experiments & analysis pipelines together. if so pls DM me ur CV🧠📈
Today @kirstenpetras.bsky.social from the Dugué Lab presented our last @erc.europa.eu funded research on #traveling_waves! And I was publicizing her work with the t-shirt she made for me!
After a workshop organized at @ecvp.bsky.social by Dugué Lab post-doc @kirstenpetras.bsky.social on our @erc.europa.eu funded work on #WaveSpace, a python simulation & analysis tool for cortical traveling waves (cTW), tomorrow afternoon Kirsten will present her poster on #cTW in retinotopic maps.
