Just watched Anaconda as everyone loves Paul Rudd. but the film has 10%women actors and 1% female lines. The world is 60% women. One black female lawyers’ line is ‘I don’t know what to do’. Seriously? That is the best they could do in 2026? We need to stop watching this misogynistic shit.

This patient had very severe Dupuytrens contracture with MCPJ and PIPJ of 90’ flexion each. He had no use of the little finger. I did a fasciectomy and it needed a skin graft and at only 4weeks he has a beautifully healed wound and nearly full movement. All down to the patient rehab!

The 2021 Australian census shows that single parents are 79.8% women and 20.2% men. So a proposal that babies are given their mothers surname by default (other options as a choice) might actually make administrative and practical sense. Thoughts? 🤔 www.theguardian.com/world/2025/m...

Ok I received this comment and tried not to 🤯… it’s been hundreds of years of white men, particularly in @collegeofsurgeons.bsky.social leading the way, but evidence shows diversity improves innovation and outcomes. Any tips on how to handle this #notmyson comment?! #notallmen #diversity

Someone said I was being mean by celebrating exclusion of white men from photos.

Really fun day @collegeofsurgeons.bsky.social hosting Future Surgeons. We support every medical school surgical society in their training, events and career progression. Funny highlight was doing a little ‘no white males’ photo in front of the old school portrait 🧐😳 💪🏽🥳@hunterianmuseum.bsky.social

Medical students leaders who are female, black, brown or oriental in front of an old portrait of surgeons who are all very white old men. Diversity is brilliant for everyone and is the future of surgery.

New data from the GMC shows that for the first time there are now more female than male doctors with a licence to practise in the UK. This is a fantastic achievement and has taken 150 years to reach after women were first allowed to become medical students.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”
