I mentioned I'm writing a book in one place, and I can't remember where. Now I keep getting AI emails about publishing the contents of my TEDx talk idea (completely unrelated??) into an eBook by Christmas. No! Is it better or worse to waste their time by replying?

AI RANT Following the cancellation of three major debut book deals over AI suspicions, I decided to put my own (needless to say, 100% human-written) prose to the test. My detector of choice was Originality AI, and the results proved to be jarring, to say the least. 🧵1/5
Friends, the #SkyhorseCarousel is finally fully painted and reassembled, isn't it STUNNING?! Between the horses and scenes, the carousel celebrates the culture and cosmos of >30 different cultures worldwide! You can read all the Sky Stories and see photos here: www.skyhorsecarousel.com #SciArt
Well, National Carousel Day was Sunday but we were so busy working on it I forgot to post :) But I can finally share the center scenery panels, they turned out gorgeous! My concepts brought to life in collaboration with talented painter and friend Laura Lawson (IG: @laurajlawson). #SkyhorseCarousel
People who confidently declare that all cats are "mean" really have no idea that they're telling on themselves for having boundary and consent issues.
Happy Pride to this Caravaggio self-portrait that made one man so gay he had to go to the hospital
Absofuckinpositively no, this is not what it looks like. This is fake. 1. Mars has an atmosphere and it's usually full of dust 2. The stars have diffraction spikes from a telescope 3. The sky simply doesn't look like that unless you're using a very long exposure narrow field 4. This link below 🌌🔭🦛

Hey so I'm in the Arctic right now and could barely sleep because of midnight sun. Can someone smarter than me explain how my head can still sense the sunlight through my eye mask and curtains? I could not fool my diurnal body for the life of me
I just got the kindest message about my TEDx talk. I wish everyone who loves our planet could go experience the Overview Effect from space. I also wish people who don't love it so much could have their viewpoint changed by it. We're one big family on this little, precious planet. 🌍
I've waited 205 days to post the link I'm going to post in a few hours. Deep breaths.
Yaaaaaay chutes SPLASHDOWN CONFIRMED
The always excellent @drkatemarvel.bsky.social explains how her last straw at NASA was the new administrator saying climate change is political. “Climate science is not innately politically charged, whatever the administration says.” www.nytimes.com/2026/04/08/o...

I can't be crying this much during allergy season, my sinuses can't take it anymore. But all my little headaches are worth it for getting to know the brilliance of this mission. #artemis2
In Japanese, Obaa-chan is a term of endearment for middle aged women, usually aunts, and is loosely translated as "One Battle After Another-Chan"
In one week my TEDx talk will be over, and I will get my brain cells back. Then we can talk about it! I really truly genuinely believe that one way to get through this stupid, cruel period in history is to send great artists to space. And then to listen to them.
