Britain and Ireland have similar respectability politics around ‘not going there’ re calling out individuals when they do awful things, or speaking ill of the problematic dead. In Ireland it’s fraught due to the combining of British mc values and Catholic church silencing and that needs confronting.

And having lived in Denmark the place runs like clockwork, has amazing infrastructure, and has support and safety nets for those most needing them. Something to emulate rather than fear.

I don’t work in Prof Jason Arday’s discipline nor have i read his work so can’t comment on the claims - although i wonder how many white men have their early work trawled through like this? - but notable the academics amplifying criticism for right wing outlets are often terfs and eugenicists.
