One of the more bizarre aspects of American politics for a European or Canadian observer is how what in Ottawa, Brussels or Rome comes across as boring milquetoast Social Democracy will be inevitably portrayed in the United States as harbingers of the next Leninist Red Terror

NPR is calling the Mamdani-backed candidates “far left” which I guess is shorthand for “would like to give healthcare to their constituents somewhat”

I found this 3d model of an "ammonite" over the weekend. The "author" wrote: "This model is generated by the state-of-the-art 3D GenAI tool, Rodin Gen-1.However, its ideas and creativity originate from the human author." Clearly the "human" has decided that the animal will never leave the shell

This came into my LinkedIn feed today. This guy is "bragging" that he has posted up to 900 posts he wrote with ChatGPT in the last 12 months on LinkedIn.

A screen shot of text that reads:

I’ve written 800–900 LinkedIn posts using ChatGPT since May 2025.

Which also means I’ve spent an unhealthy amount of time in front of a screen.

So recently, I switched to using ChatGPT voice mode while going for walks instead of typing prompts.

And honestly, I underestimated how good it is.

I now brainstorm ideas, refine posts, think through business problems, and dump random thoughts while walking.

Without trying too hard, it quietly added 1 to 1.5 hours of movement into my day.

I don't know how to explain to the people who pop up when creatives complain about "AI" to say there are legit uses for it just how much they sound like someone saying "Well actually fire is used to make bread" when people are talking about an organized arson ring burning down their fucking houses
