Lawyer (mostly brief writing). Chicago. Fan of immigrants. 375 F. Supp. 3d 280, if you want a good read.....

Today, even more Haitian (now former) TPS holders were summoned into an ICE office in Ohio and placed in ankle monitors. Clergy prayed for them before they did so. I found this really powerful.

From a conservative radio host in Ohio. If your premise is "Haitians in Ohio can afford houses but Americans in Ohio can't" and your explanation for that is not "maybe the Haitians are harder workers and/or more reliable employees"....maybe think about why that is, my dude.

It was an honor to argue Trump v. Miot on Wednesday in the Supreme Court. I've been representing Haitian TPS holders in my pro bono practice for about 8 years. I've come to know them well. They're fantastic people and they make our country better. Please keep your fingers crossed for us.

According to the government, President Trump's statements about Haitians--that they're eating dogs and cats, that they "all have AIDS" and that Haitians are bad because they come from a "shithole country"--are really just statements about public policy and don't indicate animus.

The government just appealed Judge Reyes's ruling against the Trump Administration in Miot v. Trump, the Haiti TPS case in front of Judge Reyes. Seems they are in quite a rush. Please send good vibes, prayers, etc our way. Our clients are wonderful people and they deserve a victory.

This was projected on the screens at the church service/rally held today in Springfield, Ohio in support of Haitian TPS holders. It's exactly how I feel right now.

Vance is that guy who went to law school, heard academic-y buzzwordy phrases, and deploys them to sound smart in arguments. "Over and under-inclusive" "Let's put that to one side" "That's a second order problem"

Am thinking about going to the protest tomorrow. It's about showing I'm against Trump, sure, but mainly it's cuz I heard on Fox that protestors are paid pretty well and after the last couple days I could use the extra scratch.
