can you wait anon? . . . do you have . . . the .. .. patience . . . to wait for your opportunity? . . . . do you have the courage .. .. .. to act . . despite the chance of . . . failure?

has anyone ever solved the general problem of going soft once you win?? perhaps michael jordan model: ignore everyone else; love the game; relentlessly improve and be your own harshest critic down a less psychotically focused path, creating artificial challenges to keep skills sharp seems fruitful

i'm back in my hometown and there was a december party where i felt, within a couple hours, intensely, anger desire sadness and it was good. i was plugged back into a social network where consequences of actions mattered. i felt so alive and motivated

ok lets get real and talk feelings for a second. case warming himself w anger is so fucking real. intense emotions feel amazing because you are certain there's stakes. instant cure for vague feelings of purposelessness and wandering [neuromancer]

it pulls me out of the world a bit when buildings are described in cyberspace; there's gotta be a better abstraction visualization for it all flying around glorious 8k rez buildings unburdened by all construction limits would be glorious tho reminds me of Ra and the magical realm [neuromancer]

Dear Julius Deane is the platonic ideal of a doomsday prepper polite wily willing to put a slug in ur head if u look at him wrong knows what he wants (sucking bonbons noisily) may his neuromancer spirit and the Chiba clinics help him live on for another 10,000 years

rastafarian culture seemed really out of place; maybe it was the blend of woo and space stations/technical competence? ig makes sense if that tech is mundane in the neuromancer world OR OKAY here's the 5head take WM was intentionally utilizing undervalued ppl/groups

history seems to trend in the direction of ppl allowing what was previously private to be public and to a lesser extent what was under one's own control to be controlled

sensorium streaming is gonna be SICK, especially if paired with thoughts/emotions hey dude i'm in hawaii no i'm not gonna send you pics, come SEE THE SUNSET AND FEEL THE BREEZE [neuromancer notes chap 1-7]

it seems like the internet had a wild west period; could BCI tech go through a wild west? if so, where and under what conditions? (doesn't seem like USA to me; FDA is SLOW) [neuromancer notes chap 1-7]
