my late day 6 post for the #revpit showcase countdown, haha! how i started writing: i don't really have a glamorous origin for writing. i started out writing guro fic as a kid. in hindsight, it was likely because i grew up in a really bad and violent neighborhood and used writing as an outlet.

#revpit showcase countdown day five! i'm late tho lmao. highkey forgot bc i was watching the knicks game 😅 i have a lot of favorite lines from wretched, but this one gets a laugh out of me every time

I have been considering hiring an editor, but my concern is that if an editor I was interested in didn’t even shortlist my book, should I take that as meaning they’re not interested in working on it? Ideally I’d like to work with someone who does connect with my work to some extent at least.

I want to clarify that #RevPit #10Queries is not the same as the top 10. Editors pick subs for 10Queries based on feedback that can benefit any writer. There may be overlap with top picks, but it's necessarily not a direct correlation. Several of my shortlist were not in my 10Queries and vice versa.
