Nothing bad happens if someone doesn't iron their clothes. It is a total eco-hostile waste of time and energy (both human and literal). There should be a worldwide campaign to outlaw it. People could opt to wear a little badge that shows "I'm creased because I care".

The petition for a general election was never meant to succeed. It is part of what will continue to be a series of stunts to grab media headlines and keep the government on the back foot. Just like GB News is there to create bullshit talking points that are then picked up by other outlets.
It seems the people who were keen to tell us “that’s not how democracy works” and “you lost, get over it” after the EU referendum, are the same that are now bleating on about having another general election. Well lads, that’s not how democracy works. You lost, get over it.
