George Orwell's quote - "The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears" - is gaining a lot of traffic online. What he didn't predict is that we now have AI - a technology that makes us all doubt the evidence of our eyes and ears. This is the modern world - and I fucking hate it.

As we get older memories fade and part of it is misremembering the date. Like - when did I take my first driving test - 1985 or 1986? Or your first gig - you'd swear it was 1978 but it was 1979. Or when Trump says the election was fixed - he'd swear blind it was 2020 when in fact it was 2024.
