@andylaneauthor.bsky.social’s All Consuming Fire blew my socks off so i had to go back to the source
Heard about the passing of Justin Richards, imo the best person to lead a doctor who series with his time as editor on the EDA’s. That run, as well as steering the boat on the new series novels, proved how immensely talented he was at choosing and nurturing fresh faces for the doctor who EU. RIP
Helllo Everyone! This week Mr @lefthandeddalek.bsky.social joins me for a double dose of Briggs. It's The Mutant Phase & Creatures of Beauty. #DoctorWho

rereading Blood Meridian page 14 and someone has their head kicked in while they’re on fire
sad to see the torchwood range end but glad it sits at a comfortable 100 releases listening to the last one as i type this so will post later to see if i think its a good ending
if david foster wallace was still alive he’d just kill himself today knowing that if he did himself in back in 2007 like he was supposed to he’d have been a tad bit happier
if the delayed christmas special rumour is true then i’m quite happy with that. i reckon doctor who needs a good few years rest or maybe we let it end. i was fairly happy with the last 2 seasons so don’t get the wrong idea, i just think tv’s not really the right format for the franchise anymore
when you shave a patch of leg and watch the hair fall on the floor and start to lick it up so you can lick the orange and make it hairy and warm for when you share it later on at the picnic filled with loads of different oranges all different sizes but you made sure to lick the biggest one to share
what it about Fontaines D.C. that people actually like? it sounds very annoying to my ears
been flicking through From Hell again and i honestly don’t think i was ready for this the first time i read it because this might be Moore’s best work. Eddie Campbell’s art is just sublime and the scrawled dialogue helps add that hazy, slightly sinister atmosphere to the whole piece
going out on a limb and saying that Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell is the most influential genre novel of the past 20 years. fight me
have a great idea for a 5 minutes at an open mic. I’d just make this protracted “ughhhh” sound for the whole thing while i slowly sink to the floor and start to roll around with my legs kicking the air. when i finish the 5 minutes i get up, go to the toilet and climb out a window. what do you think?
had such an exhausting day of travelling across the country, doing all my uni stuff and settling back in Bath once again. think i’m overtired now as I’m too knackered to bother getting ready for bed so just stuck watching youtube
put nuclear reactors in commercially available cars
WE NEED BAD IRRELEVANT TAKES IMMEDIATELY FLOOD THE TIMELINE
the aliens of london target is fucking brilliant. so happy to have one of my favourite stories expanded as well as that retroactive torchwood easter egg fully fleshed out and incorporated into the story great stuff as always @josephlidster.bsky.social
