Okay maybe this is a hot take but I don't think we should immiserate rural areas. The existence of New England shows that there is another way. We need to reject the politics of deprivation and have the vision and audacity to socially engineer reactionary politics out of the culture.

We need to cultivate a revanchist energy on the left. There are people still saying that MAGA was a reaction to woke overreach and that we need to find a middle ground. I reject that. I am for reconquest, not retreat. November 2024 was not a conclusion, but a hiccup on our road to absolute victory.

Time to put on my beanie, go to the cafe, order a matcha latte, and then pull my physical copy of The Reconstruction Papers by Liberal Currents (now available for pre-order in the United States) out of my tote bag and try to prominently angle the cover towards alt-looking women.

A lot of people against this either don't understand numbers or have the same sentiments that motivate conservatives to oppose welfare because some fraud exists. You could give them $1 million each and it would be a drop of water for the budget. If it reduced corruption by 5% it would be worth it.

Elon Musk has to be defanged, but I think it's worth gaming out how you would do it. By-the-book legal proceedings would take a long time and he would use all that time to cause the worst headache for us. The trapped beast fights the hardest, after all. So I think we'll need to bend the rules.
