Macklemore says “free Palestine” and the ADL applauds him losing gigs for it. Kanye West puts out a song called “Heil Hitler” the org can’t be bothered to have an opinion on it. Instead, they insert themselves into the concert venues to do trainings on hate symbols.

In addition, the ADL has been working to put together a "best practices" guide which will include training venue workers on anti-Semitic symbols, statements and other totems. Those materials will be available to workers at both of Ye's shows.

We’re doing a SERIES of #WarOnWalking posters with photos in the background of different examples of walking being made harder or impossible, at every scale & in many contexts. If you have your OWN powerful examples that you’d like us to consider profiling in one of our posters, share them below!

“the road lobby claims that there’s a war going on in our cities. There is, but it’s not the war they’ve been lying about. They’ve been waging a war on walking for a century.”

Poster with black text on white background, via the Urban Truth Collective. #UrbanTruth“Don’t buy the lie that there’s a war on cars. They’ve been waging a war on walking for a century.”

Text over a photo of a huge freeway filled with cars and traffic. #CarDependency

Do not underestimate the scale of this climate crisis. We are watching feedback loops accelerate, ice sheet collapse, ocean heat content, methane release, that could lock in irreversible warming. We have all witnessed the data, and it is not slowing down.

The people running these companies believe that climate change could kill us all by the end of the decade. This is not a fringe worry. Publicly, many executives soften their language to sound reasonable, but privately, the fear is real. No other industry poses this level of danger to civilization.

This will be bad for: - the students - the research progress - the universities - the towns the universities are in - the companies hiring students - the states the universities are in - the national economy - national security - the country - the world
