okay this is the last of the kageposting this year I promise, thanks for bearing with me :)

Zine page. Opens with a loose 3-panel retelling of part of imagination forest, then leads into the following text:

"Imagination forest was my entry-point into the Kagerou Project, and my favourite song for a long time.

Marry's story resonated with 13 y/o me on a level I'm not sure I'd ever experienced before... At the time, I was a deeeeply closeted trans boy with social anxiety, and my masculinity felt like a monstrous part of me; I related to Marry a lot!!

Isolation and monstrousness are both themes that run through the whole Kagerou Project, and they're ultimately what drew me into it back then. Suddenly, I didn't feel quite so alone. That's the power of music and stories and art, right?"

Another zine page, this one opening with 3 panels reflecting moments from the Mekakucity Actors anime; Haruka rejecting his body, Seto reading Kano's mind to share his burden, and Marry looking determined in her medusa form. Leads into the following text:

"I soon found and watched Mekakucity Actors! It's a disorienting show to watch without much additional context, but I understood enough of it to feel strongly moved by it at the time.

Around that time, I also picked up the Kagerou Daze Official Visual Fanbook from a comic con, but that was about it for me -- "

There's another drawing, this one reflecting the ending of Shounen Brave, where older Seto gives younger Seto a little push to be brave. Placed alongside the text:

"It wouldn't be until years later that I listened to more of the songs properly! Maybe somewhat fittingly, Shounen Brave is my favourite today."

2022 / 2023 / 2025 (ft milo (milobread7 on yt)) "drawing akechi in a daze hoodie because i don't draw myself" tradition reached its third and final year 🥲

three akechis with daze hoodies with text "let's daze!"
other people's drawpile drawings cut out.
the akechis get progressively more detailed until the last one is fully rendered. the last one also has milo in ene's daze hoodie next to him

For the Kagerou Project, I did a bunch of fun little doodles throughout today watching all the @letsdaze.com events. It was so much fun watching all the panels and was such a good time! Thank you to everyone who worked to make it great!

A digital drawing of various drawings of characters from the Kagerou Project over large chunks of color. Shintaro, Tono, Ene, and Ayano are across the top. Seto, Kido, Kano, Tsukihiko, and Azami are across the middle. Saeru and Ayano are across the bottom.
