Omg I actually just got it working! I had to apply this patch to alsa-ucm-conf: github.com/alsa-project... running systemctl --user restart pipewire pipewire-pulse wireplumber, then setting Reaper's audio device to JACK with the correct number of channels, it works! #linuxaudio
Arturia AudioFuse support · Issue #568 · alsa-project/alsa-ucm-conf
I own Arturia AudioFuse. I am on Linux Mint and I got faux "Analogue Surround 7.1 Output" probably since Linux Mint 20. The version before that was property split input multiple devices in the syst...

Could everyone please email Arturia and let them know their interfaces should be class compliant across the board lol? Signed, a frustrated Arch user with an Audiofuse Studio

I am so bad at genre; everything I make kind of spools out into some amalgam of things I can't define in a convenient way. As much as that sounds CoolTM, trust me in that it causes a lot of friction in music scenes

journalists, especially cultural, do not need to contend with AI. It's a machine fed and wielded by billionaires and fascists that is destroying every little corner of the world, and to treat it as a fun toy some people have learned how to drive is advertising for capital interests. Have some class.
I'm doing a portfolio writeup on my build of the new Waxlimbs website, and damn guys it's hard to talk about your work sometimes

I should really post more about this! I put the entirety of Waxlimbs' catalog on Mirlo and Ampwall so that we're no longer totally tied to Bandcamp. Streaming too (minus spotify), but we all know that's not real.
In an effort to not rely entirely on bandcamp, By The Neck is now up on @ampwall.com. More of our discography to come soon! ampwall.com/a/waxlimbs/a...
Busting out the tubular bells for this Revertices final boss music
Radiation is so terrifying and I'm realizing that I have a lovely deep seated fear which is affecting my ability to get x-rays without losing my nerve
Every time I pull the minibrute out for client work I'm reminded how much ass this synth kicks, and that I should use it more.

Every day I learn something new about Reaper and I'm like "holy shit"
In response to the unprecedented number of game developers laid off this year, we have created a bundle on itch to benefit a Game Industry Hardship Fund, managed by @videogameworkers.bsky.social. More than 100 games for 10+ bucks! Please share widely and donate generously! itch.io/b/3802/game-...
Going through the age-old context switching problem of being like "I just spent a week programming, and now I need to write Metal Music"
inspired by lily i finally wrote my first blog post only 7 months into the year! i've got a whole bunch of these little gamedev brainworm things i'd like to write about, and giving myself an hour time limit to write the first draft was so nice knivesforcats.online/correlated-r...
Correlated RNG
Games that rely heavily on procedural generation often want their random number generators to be deterministic so that if given one single seed, each of your...

I've been wanting to write more short, off-the-cuff blogs for a while now, mostly about different niche game design concepts... i recall sakurai talking about his famitsu column, how he'd never spend more than an hour or so on a single article... i'd love to practice that kind of casual approach
Throwback to when I wrote a complete dubbing script for the original Godzilla when I was 16 and then acted it out using the text-to-speech engine used for BonziBuddy and Google Translate.
