lukewarm take but no tool or technique or framework has gotten me farther at any PM job i've ever worked than the following phrases: - thank you! - i'm happy to help! - how was your weekend? - i appreciate your hard work [preferably w/ a specific example], you are [having this positive impact]!

considering that in the span of the last 8 days i: - got rejected from a job after six interviews - had a killer sinus headache that knocked me out for several hours - fell down the stairs - and now had my dryer break w/ wet clothes in the wash i should find One William Dollars on the ground.
this video is less about hank green and more about this particular youtuber's experience using these bots and like. yeah. yeah! i am thankfully(?) pretty allergic to compliments and sycophancy but at a different time in my life this would have been so dangerous.
The specific focus in this video on the way these tools get under your skin and train you to depend on them is an aspect I personally find existentially terrifying. youtu.be/TtvICev9sBE?...
v happy for the michiganders, now it's time to rally everyone to get this man into the senate. wishing them luck !!

okay this is a real "idk who needs to hear this" but i have been playing that super sudokoid game any moment i get. i need everyone to make their weird niche shit right now. i have not locked into a game like this since i accidentally overnight ran through all of lies of p overture. i am overjoyed.
a really fun and easy way to eat more vegetables is to end up with way too many of the ones that don't freeze well in your fridge through Circumstances and then spend your entire day finding ways to cram as many of them as possible into every meal
this does not work for software. the film industry playbook does not work for software. not to mention film is a highly localized trade where the workers earn royalties to keep them afloat between gigs. this is not how software development works. i am So Tired.
This is 100% the Film Production playbook that investors and execs are drooling over. Form a company to build and release a thing, and then immediately shut it down once work is complete. Spin up a new company for the next project and so on.
okay i am now a chunk of the way through this. i thought i was good at sudoku. this game has corrected that assumption
this is one of the wildest achievements I've ever seen in puzzle design. a sprawling, multi-layered sudoku puzzle that you explore as a world, and that gradually reveals its complexity to you as you learn. I've got a ways to go but I'm having a blast.
this is maybe the funniest heading i've ever hit in a book

was in a mood to revisit early muse because of the concert, which put me in a mood to revisit bloc party because they opened, and then smth i'm doing at work has me revisiting x ambassadors. really nostalgic music week.
I'll make a real post about this when it's not the middle of the night, but consider this the soft launch: I just set up a little PDF zine shop on itch philmcandrew.itch.io

Getting to design characters for a murder mystery visual novel set in the Myst/D'ni universe was such a blast, I hope this also sees the light of day someday:
The other (much smaller) game @shoomlah.bsky.social and I worked on near the end of our time at Cyan is shown here (@ 28:07). "WhoD'nit?", a Myst visual novel / Phoenix Wright style murder mystery (and yes you would obviously be able to flirt with all the suspects!) I still really want to make this.
Sony’s dismissal of fan concerns over the ending of physical media is emblematic of what’s happening across most consumer based businesses in 2026. Companies are gambling that most of their consumers will grumble and keep their spending habits the same, so there’s no incentive to change.
You think you understand computers and then you talk to an engineers and they lean in and whisper “let me tell you about computers 2”
