Here in Pennsylvania, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to make their own decisions about their body and have access to reproductive health care that respects and empowers them.
Pennsylvania’s new Track-Kit system, which enables victims of sexual assault to track and monitor the status of their rape test kits as it moves through processing, will be fully rolled out by the end of this year.
Survivors of sexual assault deserve dignity, transparency, and respect as they navigate the process of reporting the crime and healing from the trauma. Pennsylvania has taken the initiative to establish the Track-Kit system to give victims of sexual assault —
Last night, Blayre and I joined Governor Shapiro and Lori to present 17 Pennsylvanians with the Governor's Keystone Award, our Commonwealth's highest civilian honor, for their dedication and service to their communities.
To every Pennsylvanian celebrating, I wish you a blessed and easy fast on this Yom Kippur. G’mar chatima tovah!

The 40 passengers and crew of Flight 93 remain amongst the most heroic Americans, ordinary people choosing to defend and protect our nation when they made the collective decision to retake the plane from the terrorists, preventing it from reaching its final destination.

In the past two decades, we’ve seen recess time shortened in our schools. But now, kids will have a dedicated time away from their desks to play with their friends, get a break, and learn essential social skills.
Kids need time to be kids. And this new law will guarantee 30 minutes of recess every day to help our children stay active, grow their imagination, and improve social development. It’s a win for students, teachers and parents as well.
It was great to be in Philadelphia this Labor Day to celebrate Samuel “Sam” Straten, Jr. for his extraordinary career and dedication to the organized labor movement. Renaming a street in his honor serves as a permanent reminder of what Sam’s accomplished and to inspire the next generation.
Pennsylvania’s union workers are the best in the nation and today we celebrate them and the unions that have built this state and this country from the ground up. The Shapiro-Davis Administration stands with our skilled workers every single day.
Happy Birthday to my amazing daughter, Harper! Your energy, your happiness, your laugh will always be the best part of my day. It’s hard to believe you’re already three years old but it’s been an honor to be your dad and watch you grow up.
I’ve been honored to have you by my side for the last nine years through the good days, the bad days, and everything in between. My best friend and favorite person, thank you for being my rock and the best mother to our daughter. Happy anniversary, Blayre. I love you.
Our Violence Intervention & Prevention program focuses on both preventing crime before it occurs but also providing resources for the victims and families after a crime is committed, whatever that looks like for the individual. And it’s through this work that we’re making PA safer for everyone.

As someone who grew up in the shadow of the old steel mills, I understand the value of cleaning up these outdated, hazardous sites and turning them back into something that benefits the community. It’s good for public health and for our economy.
Cleaning up environmental hazards that have been left unchecked from our industrial past is not only good stewardship, but it prioritizes public health and creates new economic opportunities for future businesses. Funding these clean ups benefits everyone.

When local economies are thriving, more Pennsylvanians have opportunities to grow or start their business, find additional education and training options, and most importantly, can raise their family right here in the Commonwealth. That’s what we want for every Pennsylvanian.
Seniors, young people & working families need affordable housing – that’s why we need to grow our housing supply in every zip code. Our Housing Action Plan outlines how our cities and townships can work with developers to build the kinds of housing that works for them & their needs on the ground.
