pride month ain't over yet 🌈 friend of ROMchip @adrishaw.bsky.social is looking for help tracking down the bathhouse-inspired 1983 game VAPOR PALACE. Published by BANANASOFT (yes you read that right) Released for the Timex 1000, TRS80 III, Apple II and IBM PC can anyone help, game history fam?

Duotone advertisement for the computer game Vapor Palace by Bananasoft (black ink on a brown background). The ad features a stylized illustration of a shirtless man peering from behind a doorway beside the title "Vapor Palace," with the tagline "Hot Time at the Baths." The game is priced at $24.95 postpaid and notes that it requires a minimum of 16K RAM. It was released for multiple home computer platforms, including the Timex 1000 (cassette), TRS-80 III (cassette), Apple II (DOS 3.3 floppy disk), IBM PC (floppy disk). The ad states it was soon to be available for the VIC-20 (cassette). The bottom of the advertisement includes the Bananasoft banana logo, the company's mailing address in Seattle, Washington, a note that Washington residents must add sales tax, and an estimated delivery time of two to six weeks.

QGCon directs as much funding as possible to travel grants, on top of keeping cost of access low, including no-cost tickets for attendees who need them. Like a lot of non-profits, we are having a rough year. Please consider sharing and /or contributing to keep the Queerness and Games Con going!
