He defended the insurrection and the President’s hush-money payments. He has been and will always be a Trump loyalist. He’ll put the President’s interests over the interests of the nation and should not be confirmed.

Pretty clear Todd Blanche is just another yes-man who will sign off on the President’s worst ideas. Why would we trust someone who demonstrates he can’t stand up for what’s right?

Colson Whitehead is a freaking genius. And his Harlem Trilogy is so complex--funny, exciting, violent, gory, wise, insightful and historically on the button. Here's my review for the @irishtimes.com in which I try not to gush. I think it'll be online soon but here it is in lovely print.

So we have spent $38 billion on a failed war in Iran and they want $75 billion more? And we don’t have healthcare? Why are we doing this? And why would anyone give them more money?
