It’s February 1st and I’m back on social media. However, I think I will continue to keep it off my phone. It’s too easy to scroll and do myself mental damage rather than engage in productive activities. So I’m here! But I’m only checking in every once in a while.

Well, shit. An old friend from that other place, Rob Wieland, passed away over the weekend. We went all the way to GameHoleCon to game with this dude. It's also how I first met Tanya DePass (who I am deliberately not tagging—don't get blocked here) which introduced me to Twitch.

I often forget I have pink hair until I catch someone staring at me. I still have a brief moment of, "Uhhh. What's their deal?" before remembering that my hair is bright pink and that is likely their deal.

I uninstalled that owl app a while ago because of all the AI nonsense, but when I looked into alternatives yesterday, I found out that I have Mango Languages available through my local library! I signed in with my library card and now I'm learning Spanish! Buenos dias!

Very basic text-based lesson interface from Mango Languages app. There are unit and lesson numbers, a vocabulary tab and a chapter recap tab.

We went to an art walk tonight. Apparently it happens every month. We only bought tiny things, but we're going to commission a painter to paint Chester. Lovely evening too. We'll do this again!

Husband and I went thrifitng this morning specifically to look for Pyrex, which we found. But it was so nice out that we didn't want to go home so when we saw a sign for a Middle Eastern food festival, we followed the signs and ended up at a Melkite Greek Catholic Church.

We went into DC tonight to Providencia. Food and drinks were incredible in a cozy, stylish atmosphere. Such care for my husband's allergies—it's a relief to find somewhere safe for him. I can't recommend it highly enough. We are already planning our next visit.

It's been so long since I played Ranked #Fortnite that I can't remember if there's siphon or not right now 💀 Should probably look that up before we play Ranked again today in *checks watch* 24 minutes. We'll play as long as it's fun and we can get lobbies!
