Behind every abortion is a village who made it possible: from providers and policymakers to the clinic escort who walks you to your car and the donor who keeps the lights on. Most of that work goes unseen. That's why we're highlighting a different activist every week in our new series, The Helpers.

It got drowned out in all the good news from last night, but Boston Mayor Michelle Wu became the youngest person to be reelected in the city's history. She ran unopposed because her opponent--Patriots owner Bob Kraft's son--withdrew a few months ago after realizing he had no hope of winning.

WE WON: "This case -– perhaps the most important ever to fall w/in..this district court squarely presents the issue whether non-citizens lawfully present here in US..have the same free speech rights as the rest of us. The Court answers this Constitutional question unequivocally “yes, they do.”"

Murder is wrong. Pogroms are wrong. Using a murder to incite a pogrom against a small and vulnerable group in society is wrong. (If I’m not mistaken, an assassination was the excuse for the wave of mob but state-sanctioned violence in Russia in 1881 that gave us the term “pogrom.”)

apnews.com/article/bost... If Kraft is this far behind after spending tons of his own born rich money on ads that offer nothing positive to Bostonians, maybe he should get the hint. Boston likes its mayor and doesn't need another entitled gazillionaire who thinks he knows better. #Boston #WuTrain

In one of the debates in New York mayor's race, Mamdani (and Lander) both praised Boston Mayor Michelle Wu. She has been one of the most passionate voices defending cities and urban life as Trump trashes them. And she's stayed popular in way Brandon Johnson has not. newrepublic.com/article/1997...

Senate Democrats could have united behind Mangi and called out the GOP smear against him as religious bigotry. Instead, ~3 Dems decided to buy into that smear (and Schumer declined to fight), and now Bove has a 3d Circuit seat. There's an obvious lesson here...

Emil Bove's confirmation was only possible because Democrats caved to a vile right-wing smear campaign of Adeel Mangi, who would have been the first Muslim appeals court judge, when Biden nominated him for the same seat last year. Absolutely disgraceful. Bove's confirmation is on them, too.
