Oh also it’s decided that we’re doing ACOTAR #6 for romantasy book club. I’m the only one who has read the rest of the series. It’s going to be two hours of them all going “what’s this characters deal?” and me doing this:
Charlie Day Conspiracy: Pepe Silvia has a conspiracy board

Once again the book club was more fun than the actual book 😂 My favorite part was when two of us were trying to explain what romantasy was to my English professor friend who was like “is game of thrones romantasy? What about the hunger games?”

Every time I get a email from netgalley notifying me that I was approved for a book I could swear I’ve never even heard of before
Watching midsommar with the friend group and the librarians lost their minds when William Jackson Harper was like “you didn’t even know how to use jstor until I showed you”
People who send emails and/or teams messages after 4:30pm on Friday should be thrown in a ditch full of hungry crocodiles
1. Incredible poster, no notes 2. For several minutes I forgot Olivia’s last name and thought there was a new Skårsgard I didn’t know about
First sweater day of the year ☺️ Ok so the high is like 72°F cut me some slack I live in Texas. The sweater is very thin. But it’s a sweater!!
You should not vote for fascism because fascism is evil. But also, you should not vote for fascism because fascism is stupid.
Ok only got about 1300 words on the new lady knight WIP today but work required a lot of people-ing so I’m tired. I did figure out more plot stuff though. Somehow this is turning into a locked room mystery? Dunno if I know how to write one of those but I guess I’ll learn!
My library added this just in time for spooky season :) CR 🎧: BLACK FLAME: a very repressed and closeted lesbian archivist becomes obsessed with a recovered erotic occult film thought to have been destroyed by the Nazis #booksky
Today in cat yoga: My cats got in a fight UNDERNEATH me while I was in downward facing dog. Not very namaste of them!!!
WHEN is the second imperial broadcasts book going to drop on netgalley?? I need to know if my lesbian princess and chaotic bisexual accidental rebel are ok and also if they get to be together!!!!!!!!!
Autism vs. ADHD My autistic friend is complaining about outlook saying she has unread emails but she can’t find them anywhere. Then I horrified her by telling her I have 11k unread emails in my work account that I will never touch 😌
Four day weekend is just long enough to get me hyper focused on a project before forcing me to go back to work Also I don’t like Sunday scaries on a Tuesday it’s weird!!
As You Wake, Break the Shell by Becky Chambers comes out today! I read the advanced copy back in May and it was a five star read for me and my favorite Chambers yet, you should pick it up :) #booksky
Just looked at the USPS tracker for a book that I ordered last week and according to that it left the Houston distribution center 4 times last night, arrived at my local post office this morning, and then returned to Houston this afternoon? What…are they doing with my book?? 😩
I wasn’t going to read Astarion even though kingfisher is an auto-buy for me just because I’ve never played BG3, but the game fans are being so mean to her about it that I think I will just out of spite
Kingfisher & Wombat@tkingfisher.com · 6d ago“Write a tie-in book,” they said. “It’ll be fun,” they said. (And they were right, because it WAS fun.)
Anyway I'm not going to DIVE into today's Extremely Silly Hot Take By A Stupid Person, but like... where are people getting these ideas? Do they have any data ACTUALLY showing that (say) men prefer to read men? Women prefer to read women? Crabs prefer to read crabs???? Where are the studies?
Small cat is in “yell sadly whenever Mom ABANDONS ME (leaves the room)” mode this morning so I guess I’m just never leaving the living room for the rest of the day
I’m kind of terrified what having kids does to your pain tolerance. My sister went to the ER last night with what she thought was kidney stone. Her husband made her go bc she’d been in severe pain since Wednesday. It was a 6 inch cyst in her ovary (non cancerous thankfully!)
4 day weekend plans: Saturday: nap/socialize Sunday: clean/socialize Monday: bedrot Tuesday: all the errands I’ve been putting off
I like how one of the plot points in Phantasma is that Ophelia is scared of everything but then she keeps wandering off by herself in the creepy murder manor. Personally I’d stay in my room but you do you! There’s a ghost cat though!

Inventing a new form of yoga called cat yoga and it’s when my cat lies across my mat while I’m doing yoga so I have to spontaneously modify every single position so I don’t disturb her
It’s 4pm on the Friday before a four-day weekend what if I just…leave…
I hate gay Halloween what do you mean you’re sexy James Talarico of the Houston Wokes

the year is 2030 and i no longer consume anything that isn't personalized to me. every game, every book, every movie extends to the limits of my own imagination and no further. i haven't been surprised in five years. i cry softly, in bewilderment, if i see a word i don't know
Bugs, Yaoist@bugsmaytrix.bsky.social · last wk.maybe i'm old fashion but the coolest thing about video games is being taken to new worlds that i hadn't thought up and experiencing something exciting that the artists behind the game want to show me
