Text review next to book cover says Thrilling Audiobook. I really enjoyed this YA spy thriller in a futuristic world. While I do think some of the flashbacks stalled the plot a little bit, I really enjoyed the main character and the ways the problems were creatively approached. I do think this will be a great recommend for those who loved Tess Sharpe's The Girls I've Been.

Text review next to book cover says NetGalley ARC. I enjoyed this continuation of the Truly Devious series and Stevie’s ability to end up in close proximity to murder, even when she’s not trying. While the relationship angst was not my favorite, I liked the flashbacks to the cult storyline, and was really satisfied by the way the cold case mystery resolved in the end.

The grandma character definitely stole the show! The story is very plot and humor focused and will work well for graphic novel lovers of off the wall hijinks and the Spy School series.

Text review next to book cover says Poignant and Character Driven. I wholly enjoyed this book--especially with the narration, which was absolutely fantastic. It is a slower paced book with a lot of introspection, and so I do think it will take a specific middle grade reader. I really was drawn into the characters--I loved Gingersnipes especially, but Clare was also a character that really grew on me.

I read the first 10 chapters of this book feeling a little disappointed because it didn't seem like this was going to satisfy those readers looking for a scary time, but the ending really delivered! I think this one will take an initial pitch to readers, but I think with just one passionate reader who makes it to the twist ending, the excitement for this one will spread.

While marketed as a middle grade book, I think this one should be read by adults and educators because it does such a good job of making often invisible stories visible.

Text review next to book cover says 5 star read! I highly enjoyed this book from the first chapter! The characters were really fun--I loved Midge's exuberance and Nell's reluctance and journey of self reflection (definitely not a quest) and the way that the story played with fantasy tropes. Would recommend to any DND fans and middle grade fantasy lovers!
