The issue is here, the account is still posting quite derogatory depictions of politicians. So he has quite clearly not been rehabilitated.
Why are you commenting if you don’t know the specifics of the case!!!!!

"Zack Polanski Supports Convicted Neo Nazi's Candidature"
Hello I'm an idiot
Zack knows that Burnham is eating his lunch on both policy and vibes. Burnham might falter and Polanski might bounce back, but the flailing is going to be glorious to watch.
He literally says that safe routes are needed you airheaded div.

Very disappointing from the new Prime Minister, very much sounding like the previous PM. These are among the world’s most vulnerable and desparate people. They need safe routes and humanity from responsible politicians, not grandstanding. This isn’t doing politics differently.
I assume they have seen the polling then...
Zack Polanski calls for a "reset" in relations with the Labour party under a more "left" wing leader in Andy Burnham. Polanski tells Byline Times he is open to working with Burnham on issues like PR after years of "toxic" relations between the two parties under Keir Starmer
It should probably be concerning that I, a relatively aware and world connected person, had no idea that the Commonwealth Games had started until literally yesterday.
For all my depressing musings on the state of government I hope I am wrong, but I worry that Burnham has taken the same view of the Starmer that Starmer took of the Tories. The feeling that they will succeed as they are the good guys, when their predecessors failed because they were the bad guys.
It's too "Inside Baseball" to ever be worth spending political capital on, but my big wish for any government are the simplification of local government structures and the tax system, and implementation of a written constitution.
Cool, I see that we are bolting more bits onto the Howl's Moving Castle that is the British Tax System.

Politico: "Business rates for pubs, clubs and [non-major] music venues will be cut by 20% from April 2027.... "No 10 says it will reach nearly 32,000 premises and save a typical pub about £1,100, taking 20% off an already-lower bill after a 15% relief for many of the same firms began in April."
Let us remember the last time that Ian Dunt described a Labour PM as "radical".
“Burnham is more radical than any prime minister for decades on devolution, public ownership, social care and electoral reform”. @iandunt.bsky.social writes for Arguably on why it’s time for progressives to rediscover hope. www.arguably.uk/p/the-left-s...
Web forms are easily the worst version of customer feedback and complaint management. Like shouting into the void, no idea as to whether it was read or even received.
To paraphrase a sheltered housing resident at a VE Day event, "The first album I bought was The Beatles, this is as alien to me as it is to you". Swingin' 60s events are probably more appropriate now.
Church friend is currently in a care home and has phoned me to (among other things) complain that they keep putting on world war 2 music for the residents, the oldest of whom were small children during the war.
Poor George, now both Mummy and Daddy are in trouble...
NEW @gabrielpogrund.bsky.social reveals tonight that the Met Police have been investigating donations to Reform UK from fraudster George Cottrell's mother. The investigation has been ongoing since last year and two people have been interviewed by police.
I may have just called Count Binface "County B" and I wish to inform you that I have been infected with brain rot.
Incredible that we have managed to create this meme within the British political system.
The two things that I take from Farage's hissy fit are: 1) He doesn't think the Greater Manchester Mayoralty is winnable. 2) He considers himself more important than the party and knows that this is largely true.
Please could every journalist from here on in ask whether George "Daddy" Cottrell will be paying the £300,000 cost of this totally unnecessary by-election.
God, this is really quite a pathetic rant that feels far more at home coming out the mouth of a divorced man in the corner of the pub who smells questionable though a combination of cheap all-in-one body wash and clothes that took too long to dry.
Mr "Without a shot being fired" really laying it on thick.

I am starting to think that this press conference isn't going to help his cause.

Oh, he is sounding so bitter and brittle. The "I gave it all up" line was so saturated with venom

Replies to this have reinforced my belief that we, as a society, have lost the ability to accept that "Fuck around, find out" is part of human development. Society has rules and expectations, individuals have agency and the state isn't always going to bend over backwards for you.
Fair play to education minister Olivia Blake, on the morning broadcast round, whose advice to knackered school kids was basically: there will be plenty of days when you have a job and are really not up to it but have to struggle in, so consider today training for that.
This has to be my new favourite interaction on BlueSky.

Why didn't Andy Burnham make Pickford Health Secretary? Because he couldn't stop the DR's strike
Please can the Green Party at least try and be serious. This is quite clearly not the case and the four images below show that.
The Greater Manchester mayoral race is Greens vs. Reform. On the 30th July, we plan to stop Reform again.
