Back in 2022 I completed an "all coins" run of Super Mario 64 after buying a Shindou Edition cartridge whose previous owner had managed to collect all but one coin. My first task for this today has been to transfer my completed save file to the Wii U recomp I got running on over the weekend. 1/6

Tackling the first of Twilight Princess's dungeons tonight. As much as I love the GameCube era Zelda games it's over 12 years since I last played this, so I'll be interested to see how much of it I can remember. ⚔️🛡️

Decided it was time I looked into one of these decomp/recomp projects for Super Mario 64. I'm not going to pretend to understand it all, but after lots of reading, following instructions, trial and error, I got a native Wii U version out the other end. So that's pretty cool. 😁 #SuperMario64

Been a while since I bought myself a gaming curio. Got hold of an SCPH-1010, the original short-handled PlayStation controller that accompanied the system's launch in Japan. It's a subtle difference, but yep, it's smaller than the SCPH-1080 we got elsewhere in the world. #PlayStation #PS1

Just found the original receipt for my N64 whilst rummaging through my loft!!!! 😀 I'd figured out what weekend I bought it a while back by looking up when the price drop and school holidays were, but couldn't remember if I bought it on the Saturday or Sunday. This answers that question. 😁

This #RandomGameSaturday has taken me back to Kirby's origins, before he developed his trademark copy ability. As a kid I felt short-changed by this game - I beat it within 24 hours, but it's great fun while it lasts and is deserving of its status as a classic. #GameBoy #Nintendo #Kirby

For my #RandomGameSaturday, I reached into our PS2 boxes and came away with an early PS2 RPG: Orphen: Scion of Sorcery. This was intended for being an animanga-game Big Deal(TM), if the amount it's all over NewType and PS mags at the time is anything to go by.
