Marrow. I remember when she was the exciting new character. Featured in every other storyline, guest spot in Wolverine & The X-Men, ambiguous cameo in the first Deadpool movie. Then, poof, gone.

Grandia continues, once again. I keep expecting Gadwin to die in a dramatic story beat, almost entirely because he's twice as many levels as the other characters and that's suspicious, but he keeps not dying. The game seems to be meta-textually commenting on this, even. 🤔 (1/2) #crt #retrogaming

Arriving at Gumbo Village, Justin and Feena are immediately hoodwinked into being sacrificed to a volcano. The villagers have erected an elaborate hidden catapult beneath the festival tent which they use to launch the young couple directly in. Despite being played for comic effect, this scenario implies that the villagers have been murdering teenagers for generations, which is dark, indeed.Feena and Justin survive being launched into the volcano and after Gadwin and Sue rejoin them the party annihilates a gangly-armed lava dragon, the source of Gumbo Village's maladies. The creature never stood a chance. These kids and their uncle are stone-cold killers.After saving Gumbo Village, Justin and Feena share a tender moment on the beach, trauma-bonding while the spirits dance.As apology for attempted murder, and thanks for purifying the volcano, the villagers of Gumbo Village treat our intrepid party to a splendid breakfast feast before bidding them farewell.

Grandia continues, with another dungeon! Now that I understand how to raise a character's magic levels, I've been using every random mob as a chance to grind them up. As a result, Justin currently has level 3 magic that he can't even cast yet, because he doesn't have enough MP. #crt #retrogaming

Moments like this are why I watch Top of the Pops every week with you lot. This is a great song and I'd never heard of it (or the Lotus Eaters) before, as for some reason it doesn't get airplay on 80s radio stations these days. So it's going on my playlist. Thanks, #totp!
