Nineteen-year-old Lucy Korvas has worse problems than complying with high society’s tedious etiquette — she must steal a diamond necklace from the Duchess of Thistal, or her cursed father will perish.
In an alternate, magical Regency era where ladies and gentlemen with improper magic are shunned from high society, Lucy Korvas has hidden a pair of giant, unladylike crow wings beneath her dresses for years, but tonight she risks exposing them to save her cursed father. She needs that diamond necklace to afford his cure. How dastardly it is, then, when she discovers soft-spoken Lord Simon pilfering his own mother’s jewelry first.
But when Lucy and Simon are cursed while trying to steal the necklace, Lucy slowly transforms into a crow and Simon starts dissolving into flower petals. Lucy must find a cure while posturing as the presentable, composed lady that she isn't before she loses her cursed father, the shy gentleman she's becoming smitten with, and her humanity.

It’s A Love Story x The Other Einstein in a Sullivan’s Crossing-feel town

Happiness Minutes a Novel. Annie, a successful engineer, just needs a promotion and raise after her ex fleeced her in the divorce. She already feels guilty for the motherhood sacrifices she made for her career, and
when she’s demoted at work, it’s the last straw.

As she faces her problems, Annie gets input from some unexpected sources: a long-dead engineering professor, and very-much-alive Sam, a recovered workaholic, who has come to town to make amends to his daughter for being an absentee father.

Annie turns to a role model, Lillian Gilbreth, asking how she did it. Gilbreth (1878-1972); a real person, was an internationally renowned engineer who raised her eleven children as a widow in the 1920s-30s. She coined the phrase “happiness minutes” – to be captured by scientifically reducing time spent on work. In this economy?

Meanwhile, tech bro Sam needs help babysitting his grandchildren when he has emergency surgery. He repays her with coaching for job interviews.

Upside: a prestigious new job. Downside: she’ll sacrifice the budding romance. Can the insights gleaned from Lillian, Sam and her loyal friends, help Annie to capture her own happiness minutes?
