Really remarkable time to witness all the historic land going back to Virginia Indian Nations rn. The Pamunkey reservation was est in 1646, & is recognized as the oldest continuously inhabited Indian reservation in the US. “Pamunkeys plan to use 13 acres for cultural, educational purposes”

Their land was taken centuries ago. Now the Pamunkey tribe is getting it back.

The Native American tribe regained a piece of its ancestral homeland in $1.9 million deal.
