Tried a more deliberate shading technique and it turned out awesome. 😭 #art #kidlit #illustration #mice #cute
I'm so happy to have found writing again, 2 years back, and then reading! Seems a bit backward but eh, got gifted Dungeon Crawler Carl last Christmas and it just sparked. And this oooone, I read 175 pages in a go! It's very much what I aspire with my writing, low stakes, fun fantasy.
It's such an odd feeling being a creator of some sort and randomly finding a project that has the same premise as your current project. Lol. Impossible to be unique!
Saying we should all go back to physical media I think misses the point. I actually *like* buying games and movies digitally for a bunch of reasons. What we need is better consumer protections so the things we do buy digitally are actually owned and companies cant delete/revoke access!
I don’t want this point to be lost in the discourse. Going digital-only means inequity for people who cannot afford internet or constantly purchasing new games. Libraries provide opportunities for people to experience games they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford, and that will be lost.
My child loves going to the library and checking out a new video game every week. Going digital only eliminates libraries as a way people can access games.
Yes I love taking photos of the sky, guilty as charged! But unfortunately the best skies are through dirty car windows.
It's been a wild couple of weeks (23 days). I finished my writing course! My in-laws dog passed away. We wallpapered our living room. Summer break started. My kid had their birthday, I had my birthday, we had a kid's party. One day between every day, meaning cleaning and stocking up in between. 1/3
Woop woop! Just passed 10.000 words on my fantasy novel! 🥳 I've been editing it soo much too. It was supposed to be about "a couple doing quests" but eh, the story had a will of it's own and now there's a big plot! #writing It's difficult to take a break from it to draw....
Our guinea pigs were super curious today! Lots of small adventures on the floor. (Can't do too long or they start eating the walls). Kind off trained them to want to jump into laps! I guess age has made them brave. #guineapigs
Drawing I made for my mom for Mother’s Day! (she loves goats and I made version for her to use as ipad wallpaper because she’s a great mom who always likes using my art). 💜🐐
My partner's brother got a cat, so of course we had to say hi to him. Adorbs! So much play! We gifted a cat bed and of course the bag was more interesting!
About an hour until I have to leave for my teeny tiny local market. Aaaah, panic.
Ehehehe, all of my prints arrived! Sort of messed up the big one, but it probably looks better in a frame. #artist #illustrator
IEK! I booked a table at a teeny tiny market in my suburb on Saturday! I'll be seeling the book I illustrated and some prints. It's the perfect training experience to see if I can manage BIG markets. Excited, yet very afraid! #artist #illustrator
I changed the working name of my fantasy novel from "Couples who quest together, stay together" too "A couple of problems". How many pun-names can I get through before the final title? Lol. #writing
Revisiting a few of my drawings since I'm making prints for a market or two! Thought I'd repost it too! #alpaca #artist #art #partyanimal
