PSA. If you type in Hebrew w/the default Hebrew keyboard layout, you know that the quotation marks look different and don’t limit a search to an exact phrase. After yrs of frustration, I learned that if you switch keyboard input to “Hebrew-PC” you get back the right quotation marks. You’re welcome.

An 11-year-old boy has died after crashing his electric scooter into a combine harvester in central Poland. Despite CPR and an air ambulance response, he could not be saved. Police are investigating the circumstances of the fatal crash.

Signs I am an elder millennial: my research happy place is with a laptop but in a library in which books are physical things that can be taken from shelves and lined up on a carrel.

I could have driven 25 min each way to drop kid off at camp and been back in an hr. Instead I biked 40 min there, then biked 10 min to the train, then read a novel for 30 min on train then biked 10 min home. Yes nearly two hours (can’t make time for this every day), but nearly all of it enjoyable.

I bike everywhere. Except when I’m travelling and don’t have access to a bike, during which times, wow, I really don’t walk much at home. SO much more walking both with transit (ofc) and with driving (bc the walk to/from parking is frequently lengthy, including/especially in big box parking lots.)
