We love to welcome new AP performers to our streams, and aim to raise the bar for accessibility and safety. If you're unsure whether to apply for our TTRPGirls games, @lithiarch.bsky.social has some words of encouragement. Read this, then apply - unleash your inner performer! tally.so/r/Pd9a4x

Heading reads 'A message from GM Luyou'

Main text body reads 'When I saw the casting for TTRPGirls in 2025, I had only ever run for my home table. I'd never played a game with strangers, much less tried AP of any kind. I felt certain that I was underqualified and debated even applying. What I found when I did was a table full of welcoming women and femmes, robust safety tools, and the absolute best introduction to AP I could have had. By the time of the stream, I was way more excited than I was nervous!

The diverse and wonderful community I found here, the commitment to player health and safety, and the absolute blast I had playing encouraged me to keep going. Now, a year later, I am running my own game for TTRPGirls 2026.

If you're reading this and thinking about applying, let this be both gentle encouragement and a vote of confidence. You are good enough, and I'd love to have you at my table!'

Southern trees bear a strange fruit. Blood on the leaves and blood at the root. How much more can Americans take before something gives? Where is the breaking point? No one lynches themselves.

Without being held in the arms and hearts of people who love me, I would not be able to carry on. Thank you to anyone who has kindled hope in me. Thank you to anyone who has ever held space for me. Thank you to every smile that has shone out from a stranger. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Books that cause men to kneel, or fight. Written warmth from a friend scrawled on a receipt. Pressed pages, hopes and fears. These Things We Keep imagines a world where we must choose sparingly, painstakingly, what we bring forward with us. This was my favorite One Shot I've ever played, bar none.

The archive is not a sanctuary. It is a battleground. These Things We Keep is about the politics of preservation. It's not about saving books -- it's about the violence of deciding which books deserve to be saved. It asks what you'll fight to remember, and what you're willing to let go.

WHY WE CHOOSE
Curation is never neutral.

Every act of preservation is an act of omission. What we call “wisdom” reflects who we are willing to listen to. What we call “history” reflects who we are willing to forget. The libraries we’ve inherited—those we build—bear the fingerprints of empire, exclusion, and silence. Some stories were lost. Others were stolen. Many were never written down to begin with.

The archive is not a sanctuary. It is a battleground.

The conflict in this game is not mechanical. It is social. It is ethical. It emerges in the pauses, the pleading, and in the strain of disagreement. You will not resolve it with tokens or initiative rolls. You will resolve it—if at all—by listening, by arguing, by deciding what you cannot bear to forget.

You will begin with noble intentions.
You will try to be fair.
But there are always too many books.
And not enough shelf.

This game invites you to reflect—not only on what knowledge is worth keeping, but on why. What makes something sacred? Who decides what is dangerous? Who benefits from forgetting? What does it cost to remember?
