Reform have now lost six by-elections in a row in England, Scotland and Wales. Their national poll rating is 26% – below Labour in 1983 – and Farage’s approval rating is -37. They’re very far from the voice of the people and need to stop being treated as such.

I’m a climate scientist. Let me fix this headline. “Nearly a century ago, scientists showed that burning fossil fuels warms the planet. Today, we know human emissions account for over 100% of the warming. Yet dark money and disinformation still work to keep Americans addicted to fossil fuels.”

Scientists have reached a consensus that human behavior is a big driver of climate change—but Americans aren't buying it.

The abhorrent racism aside, Burnham is right that there is something quite desperate about Reform's recent activity. See also Zia 'white people are the biggest victims of racism' Yusuf's recent posts

Access to verified, accurate information is eroding. We can be easily confused and manipulated. We live in silos and struggle to have empathy for each other. It's a recipe for conspiracy. The Conspicists, an amazing documentary is screening tonight in Hackney, and I'm thrilled to host Q&A after.

It's been an honour - and a challenge - to work on the Ethical Reporting Guidelines project with @pressjustice.bsky.social for the last 6 months, and I'm thrilled to be launching V1 of the guides this week. I'm also excited about what comes next, how they form an ethical foundation to build on.

Just two days to go until the launch of the Ethical Reporting Guidelines. Hosted by PJP co-ordinator and media justice & rights campaigner @lizpendleton.bsky.social the panel + Q&A covers how handling sensitive topics with ethical rigor means the difference between life or death. buff.ly/7rYlq67

X is just as much an enclosed, tiny and echoey silo as Bluesky, it's just that the people on X still seem convinced they're plugged directly into the brain of policymakers and high-powered decision makers like the Matrix chair, and it completely acidifies and collapses their brain

Working behind the scenes with @hackedoff.bsky.social and getting progress for press abuse victims feels positive. And yet I'm skeptical about #PressReform via Labour. We must use political routes AND have strategies that don't depend on them. #MediaRevolution @media-revolution.bsky.social

📣CAMPAIGN UPDATE! BREAKING! Keir Starmer has, today, agreed to meet & discuss action on press standards with press abuse victims. He must hear victims (not just listen and nod) and bring forward legislation. tr.ee/VugYc7 Victims have waited long enough - it's time for action. We need #LevesonNow

I say I hate acronyms, but I can make exceptions. Yesterday was a Media Revolution meeting for strategy of the Core Working Group (CWG)...and we met In Real Life (IRL) I kept calling the day the CoWGIRL day. Hardly anyone knew what I was on about. And that's absolutely OK. #NerdAlert

Excited to say I've joined the team at @hackedoff.bsky.social - just in time for The Hack to air on ITV. With any luck (and effort) this could bring renewed interest to the problematic press (there are stronger words) - and their cosy (cough, corrupt, cough) relationship with police and govt.

At Hacked Off HQ we're eagerly awaiting the first episode of The Hack - showing on ITV tomorrow, 9pm. Spoiler alert.... we also plan to make the most of the moment. 👀 #WatchThisSpace www.hackedoff.org/blog-posts/t...

It was a real pleasure to host a zoom room full of media revolutionaries on Monday. And look, they're so happy!! 🤣 Obviously because they know we need a #MediaRevolution and are part of making it happen! 😜

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die. Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.
