NEW: IFS public spending tool highlights large regional differences in spending. In 2023-24, ‘identifiable’ government spending (spending which benefits specific areas) amounted to less than a quarter of economic activity in London – but almost half in North East England: 🧵

With the announcement of the abolition of NHS England and 50% cuts to ICBs, a great deal will change in commissioning of services. How these changes support the better use of 3rd sector organisations is one of the unknowns. The sector needs to speak up & shape decision making at the highest levels.
