I have also been struck by the number of awful cases of vulnerable children who died at the hands of their caregivers during lockdown. I don’t know what the correct policy decision was but far more should have been done to protect children such as these

Best analysis so far. 👇 Extremely interesting about the devolution of power and whether the local governments may have different agendas. I would add to this: are we sure we have competent local councils, ready to use the new powers and properly use the new funds?
