Creators, *this is worth the read*. But, Roaring Brook closing isn't the same as Dial closing. Yes, there were layoffs, but RB is reshuffling & a new imprint is in the works. But the squeeze is real. We've been seeing it and feeling it for years. vickyweberbooks.substack.com/p/what-nobod...

Took one of my little painting kits to the park to paint the cherry tree. This particular kit is in a Star Wars lunchbox and perfectly fits a 5 x 7 piece of paper. All my supplies and my watercolor paper are packed in the lunchbox so it’s always ready to go. #pleinair #urbansketching

At the start of every month I think, “I’m going to make more art and post more!” Here’s a comic to express how I feel about trying to be creative these days.
