When we opened last spring, we got 2k subs, then I found out I would be cutting open my chest, and then I did, and then I recovered, plus I have two kids, a real job, and had to write my book and now I only have 600 more to read and your rejection is coming soon!

I know I yell about this a lot but I literally got the best opportunities of my life just from sharing my weird art online. You can, and should, try the things that you've wanted to do but didn't because there was a part of you that said, "what's the point?" Sometimes the point is the joy of it bro

It's not too late when you can begin at any point, I promise. And I mean that on so many levels.

If you’re in the query trenches (or a writer at all) please read this wonderful post from Mick, one of the brilliant minds behind TBQ, which you should also be reading. Especially right now with all the atrocities going on, art made by humans is so important.

The last quarter of this year I've been on deadline with my book, recovered from a major surgery and then I decided to quit drinking too! With all that finally behind me, TBQ comes back in 2026. Happy new year!
