Used every photon on that longest day. After viewless Sgurr nan coireachan the ridge over Sgurr mor and Gairich got better and better. 20:30 summit vid. A lot of up and down on ridge walk ended with tired bog floundering. Happy for company of snipe dunlin and golden plover!

Fascinating thread on fungi & how their effectors shape not only their plant hosts but also the rest of the microbial community in the interaction. Fungi were here first and have been competing on and in plants for 100s millions of years. Wondering if oomycetes are included? Bravo
