Same goes for Florida. There are tons of good people there who are struggling, whose votes are being nullified due to gerrymandering but they're still fighting, and those off us in our comfortably Blue states could stand to remember that and have a little goddamn empathy.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning. Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

We are in fact DESPERATE for winter coats, waterproof gloves, and good boots. We get so many wonderful donations but it is so cold and the numbers of unhoused unsheltered people are going up at the absolute worst time for it, and we run out of coats weekly.

Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.

We live in a country where restaurants trash thousands of pounds of perfectly good food every day while huge swathes of people live in food deserts and I'm supposed to get upset if someone gets a parking spot they aren't entitled to for 20 minutes? I don't have few enough problems to care about it
