It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.

Yesterday at the San Diego County Fair. I always love this view as soon as you get in.
Done! 46 pendants and 5 pairs of earrings are finished, now to start hanging them on frames for the SDCC Art Show. If you're in town for SDCC make sure to drop by the Art Show down the street at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. Tons of great art, no badge required!
You don't tell people to "just move." You don't assume they should have to abandon their homes while you sit in your cushy relatively safe blue bubble and arbitrarily decide who cedes their ground to fascists. And I certainly don't see you absorbing the cost of that demand, you fucks.
Same goes for Florida. There are tons of good people there who are struggling, whose votes are being nullified due to gerrymandering but they're still fighting, and those off us in our comfortably Blue states could stand to remember that and have a little goddamn empathy.
One thing I am not looking forward about this campaign season: the people online who don't live in Texas reflexively commenting on every Texas politics post how the state is an utterly disgusting hellhole that you couldn't pay them to live in or move to
Think you're 100% ready to vote in November? Think again. A report documents a wave of restrictive voting laws passed in 2026, like requiring specific documents just to register and banning student IDs for voting. Have your state’s rules changed? 👇
State Voting Laws Roundup: May 2026
Voters across the country will face new voting restrictions in the upcoming midterms.

Collages amd junk journals from the last few months, including trips to L.A., WonderCon, and New York, the Independent Bookstore Crawl in San Diego, and the usual stamps, stickers, labels, loteria, and washi tape.
Cost of living so high but it’s still free to hold my hand
A couple more circuit board pendants from the latest batch are up at etsy.com/shop/DesignWithinJewelry, slooooowly building up the inventory before SDCC.

The last of last year's tomato plants are a little scraggly but they're still producing tomatoes, just in time for this year’s volunteers to appear in the compost container 😀 #volunteertomatoes
This was one of my favorite cosplays I saw on Sunday at WonderCon, that's real leatherwork on the Hollow Knight's armor. (If you know the cosplayer please shout out in the comments so I can tag them!)
The light outside the Anaheim Convention Center was perfect for cosplay photos yesterday, I'll have more tomorrow!
The WonderCon photo galleries have begun! Head to pixelatedgeek.com (link in bio) for shots from Elizabeth on Saturday, with more to come later this week. Did we get your photo? Shout out in the comments so we can tag you! pixelatedgeek.com/2026/03/wond...
If you get insanely mad about a post you saw online you are legally required to ask your neighbor if they need help carrying in the groceries. Sorry that’s the law.
There’s a sentiment among some locals that eyes on Minnesota are waning. The situation has NOT changed here. Local resistance is tired, but of course never giving up. Please stay plugged into the news of the Minneapolis ICE occupation and donate where able. We need endurance in this moment.

Liam is home now and we are grateful to @joaquincastrotx.bsky.social for traveling to Minneapolis with him and his dad. Welcome home Liam ❤️❤️
Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning. Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.
If you're wanting to send some help to Minneapolis, please consider donating to get them some coats and gloves, their linktree is below.
We are in fact DESPERATE for winter coats, waterproof gloves, and good boots. We get so many wonderful donations but it is so cold and the numbers of unhoused unsheltered people are going up at the absolute worst time for it, and we run out of coats weekly.
In response to the attack on Venezuela there was a protest at Waterfront Park in San Diego, and even though it was scheduled at the last minute a couple hundred people showed up. #sandiegoprotest #nowarinvenezuela #fucktrump
this feels like another iteration of the "what if I give a homeless man money and he buys booze" thing. So then he bought booze, so what, you are not his personal life coach. You did your bit now go live your life.
Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.
We live in a country where restaurants trash thousands of pounds of perfectly good food every day while huge swathes of people live in food deserts and I'm supposed to get upset if someone gets a parking spot they aren't entitled to for 20 minutes? I don't have few enough problems to care about it
for anyone who may be using chrome still goto chrome://flags/ and disable everything to do with "ML" "AI" "gemini" and also "NTP Compose Entrypoint"
