Wonderful news! It must have been hard keeping the cat in the bag-a-reno, @davidbfox.com! (Or the hamster in the microwave?) What excites me the most: people I admire are working together to create, and enjoy the process. That's a gift for the soul. 💙
At the latest #IETF in Vienna, we decided to run a peculiar experiment... stream the #MoQ sessions using #MoQ itself! All using our existing #WebRTC infrastructure as the source for the media. This blog post is an overview on that. Feedback (and reposts) welcome! www.meetecho.com/blog/moq-iet...
Streaming the IETF MoQ sessions with MoQ… kinda! | Meetecho Blog
For quite some time, Meetecho has been the official tool for remote participation at IETF meetings. While this includes a plethora of different tools to support all the different features that are req...

Today marks the 20th anniversary of my Master's degree! The fun thing about it is that I always remember the date (30th of June) because it's Malmsteen's birthday 🤣 And the year because it's when Italy last won the World Cup, shortly before disappearing in football nothingness...
I know, I know... I literally shared a #MoQ and #WebRTC blog post just a few days ago! But I was on a roll, and I wanted to play more with MoQ and media (in a browser too), so this push-to-talk demo came out... feedback and reposts welcome! www.meetecho.com/blog/moq-ptt/
POC time: a push-to-talk demo with MoQ | Meetecho Blog
We recently talked about the efforts we devoted on tinkering with real-time media in MoQ, and in particular on how to bridge that to WebRTC and back. That post focused on our imquic library, the nativ...

After a long period of hiatus, due to a gazillion changes in my music production workflow (orchestra, mostly), I have a new track to share, called "Luminaires". Link below is from my Faircamp, but if you're feeling generous it's available on Bandcamp and Mirlo too 😁 music.lminiero.it/luminaires/

If you missed my @commcon.xyz talk, I just wrote a more detailed blog post about everything I presented there, also touching on many aspects I didn't mention in the presentation. The focus is of course on the #WebRTC / #MoQ parallels/differences/gatewaying. Enjoy! www.meetecho.com/blog/janus-m...
Can MoQ and WebRTC be friends? | Meetecho Blog
I talked a lot about my QUIC, RTP Over QUIC (RoQ) and Media Over QUIC (MoQ) experiments, lately. This eventually led to the release of a dedicated open source library, called imquic, that could provid...

Thanks @danjenkins.bsky.social and Sipgate, it was a great @commcon.xyz 2026. It is always a pleasure to meet old friends, make new ones, have nice chats and watch all the great talks.
Second up on Day 2 of CommCon is @lminiero.it talking about combining the worlds of WebRTC and MOQ. 2026.commcon.xyz
I wonder how many will recognize this track? If you were a kid growing in Italy in the 80s/90s this should be close to the 98%... www.youtube.com/watch?v=51jS...

For those that may be interested, here are the slides I presented at #OpenSIPSSummit, about RTP forwarding support in the Janus SIP/NoSIP plugins. It opens the door to a lot of cool things, so if you use SIP/WebRTC a lot you may want to check it out! www.slideshare.net/slideshow/rt...

It's been some time since my last technical blog post, so I thought I'd write one on some of my efforts to integrate #QUIC, #RoQ and (partly) #MoQ in the Janus #WebRTC server. Mostly experimental, but it could be a useful testbed for the future. Feedback welcome! www.meetecho.com/blog/janus-r...

Would I use AI to do writing or animation for me? Absolutely not. Do I enjoy writing and animating? Absolutely not.
I spent a month and a half trying to learn the piano part (hey, Im no piano player, and I suck!), but eventually I did it... a cover of both guitar and piano of the beautiful intro to "Illumination", by Marty Friedman. I hope you'll enjoy it, it was fun to learn! www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6yz...

I think I figured out why I can't stand the music of the likes of Tim Henson, Polyphia, Ichika Nito, Marcin & co... It basically sounds like what AI thinks a guitar-based song full of solos should sound like
Is it #BandcampFriday? Yes it is! And it is #FairtradeMusicFriday too! So why not go and buy one of my albums so that I can pay for some medicines for my flu? *cough* *cough* (too shameless? 😁) lminiero.bandcamp.com mirlo.space/lminiero/
