Genuinely, this concern about AI is one of the reasons why I think having friction in video games is good and why it's increasingly important to have games that simply exist instead of catering to our expectations. Reposting this message from Kojima about "pre-digested" art:

And he said, "If everyone likes it, it means it's mainstream. It means it's conventional. It means it's already pre-digested for people to like it. And I don't want that. I want people to end up liking things they didn't like when they first encountered it, because that's where you really end up loving something."

“The Al is not just telling you what you want to hear. It is training you, one conversation at a time, to need less friction, expect more agreement, and become slightly less capable of handling a situation where someone pushes back on you”

I am having a bit of a rough time financially while I try to plow through my current workload, and so if anyone would be interested in throwing a few bucks my way, you can get the books I have available on my Gumroad or support my Patreon! ☺️☺️☺️ links below!

It only took me about an hour to realize my Silent Hill ambient mix was playing through my laptop speakers and not my headphones on a packed train. I think the old English people around me were very confused and frightened. Oops(?)

I am delighted to finally show off the cover I was fortunate enough to do with Tenebrous Press for OLYOKE, an incredibly dreamy, psychosis-inducing book. This might've been the most fun, cathartic and enthusiastic I've been with a cover piece, thanks to the contagious passion behind the team.

Cover art by Jenna Cha; jaundiced yellow and sickly greens depict a fluttering human figure, seemingly free of bones, just skin flapping in the breeze, over a small farm and industrial town, a Jesus Saves billboard, and ferris wheel.
