Finished Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino, it's a nice short read. The way it fears how words kill the abstract and the horror of infinite roads never traveled (the should've could've would'ves) through eulogies is great. Choosing negative space for the large fonts really stands out to me.
Everyone wants you dead. There's a killer on the loose. And you still got a case to solve. Good thing you got a tough broad, a fast car and a whole lotta weapons. Fallen Aces - Episode 2: Shadow of Death is OUT NOW! youtu.be/Kte2sKAUZps?...

I like jumping into media blind so when checking out Insectopolis, I was surprised to take home a 1x1 ft graphic novel! The art is great and I appreciate the balance of care & fatalism. Some dialogue felt a bit hokey but the book's focus was science non-fiction so no huge deal. Here is a good panel:
Finally played Idols of Ash, really fun movement and a cool small scope idea. I've learned I would rather pulp myself on the ground 50 times than get caught by a giant centipede.

Finished The Year of the Death of Ricardo Reis by Jose Saramago, I enjoyed it! I got used to his style quickly, though I am sad the eng loc softened it. I like how insulated the stream of consciousness prose feels, and it's pretty neat to use a poet's heteronym as a vehicle for multiple analogies.

Tsai Ming-liang's The Wayward Cloud has such an interesting flavor. It's a surrealist-dry comedy-drama-erotica-musical, which you'd think "that's a lot of genres!" but the film purposefully uses it to club the viewer's head over and over. It's blended so well & the ending was a perfect bow on top.
This template popped up in a server so I thought it'd be fun to try. Here's a few games I think are neat and don't often see mentioned. (STRAFTAT and Devil Daggers are borderline cheating but I recommend them too much not to include)
danny: okay we need artist icons, nat you can't use the battler crying one me:
I watched Exorcist 1 & 3 for the first time, 1 was solid, though felt a little meandering at times. Exorcist 3 was fucking awesome, I really enjoyed it. The slow constant escalation to that climax was so riveting. Such funny little bits in each scene too, it really felt like they had fun making it.
