Dunno if its an ADHD thing or general capitalism/human spirit thing, but that agonising choice paralysis for starting a new game from your backlog hits twice as hard when you get home from work
Ill reread that cheese article in more detail but for now I recall the inmortal words of Josh Sawyer "Min Max, Save Scum, murder every npc after the quest is over for more exp, do whatever it is the mechanics implicitly encourage you to do, face god and walk backwards into hell!"
Finally finished RE4make and wrote a bit about it bckl.gg/vG3M
LordDarias's review of Resident Evil 4 | Backloggd
Resident Evil 4 Remake was about what I expected from a modern remake to Resident Evil 4. I played it long enough to finish it, which is more than I can say for most Resident Evils Ive played, but a l...

Whilst Im generally in favour of the whole "no/minimal visible loading screens" thing in action games of today it does make it pretty noticeable when you hit the next post processing volume and the screen changes colour abruptly like you've just crossed the US-Mexico border in Breaking Bad
Meds ran out during the weekend and I forgor to ask for another prescription on friday. Thankfully they're not like "deathspiral without em" type meds, more like "20% debuff to all your stats whilst not taking em" types so itll be a pretty lazy weekend filled with mood swings

I know its not a fresh observation, but comparing the PS1 and N64 libraries is kinda dire, in both quantity and overall quality, and I say this as someone who doesnt even like a lot of PS1 games that are considered classics
"DS2 on low agility is unplayable, ADP is a bad mechanic" Yeah? Well I dont need any iframes to strafe, so I can dunk on the entire early game lol

Borges and Cortázar are truly impressive writers because they somehow wrote videogame stories before videogames were invented
Playing RE4make. So far its about what Id expect from a remake of RE4. Not sure I like these Rockstar esque movement physics, your inertia and turning radius feels quite "bumbling?", in contrast to OGs more rigid but absolutely precise tank movement. Also this is something I imagine most people
The best thing a political figure can do to ensure their legacy as a great leader/statesman etc is to do a couple great things and then to inmediately die or retire before they do something stupid and ruin it. Alexander the Great died at 32. Napoleon? Lived too long after Austerlitz
Some games would do well to mandate a further step of QA for each level called "visual clarity" where someone who hasnt played it has to (with HUD, map etc off) get through it whilst identifying the most important gameplay elements within it in a time limited manner. If every room has your tester

I do get that there's only a limited number of 2 word area names and that most of the good ones have been taken by previous Rain World base game and mod areas, but come on
The email I have linked to my steam account is an old ass shitty yahoo mail account I barely use for anything else and therefore rarely check, so I missed my dumbass steam controller purchase confirmation FFS. Couldnt it have notified me via Steam itself like everything else?! *sigh*

Its funny, reading about how short and brutal the lives of humans were in the past, especially before settled agriculture and the like always made me feel a bit sad, and lucky to have been born in this current age. But looking at the numbers, despite lasting from about 300,000 BCE to 10,000BCE, the-
