This is a really good thread giving a whistlestop tour of how motonormativity blocks and harms so many aspects of our society, and why policies need to address that problem fundamentally, rather than fudging around at the edges.

You cannot fix town centres while planning everything around driving. The internet is permanent. Retail only survives where footfall is dense, local, frequent, and cheap to access.
