I think the argument to roll over for Dundon is so depressing. Because it's ultimately people saying "you can't call this man's bluff or else we're fucked" Like I really wish people realized that they're advocating to accept that this guy can threaten us
Imagine the amount of propaganda it took to convince millions of people that healthcare, food assistance, social programs, clean water, clean air, good wages, housing, equal rights, diversity, and a healthy planet for all people was somehow a threat to America and to Christianity.
My best friend got an electric bike through the Portland Clean Energy Fund and the ease and joy it’s brought to her life is palpable. Plus, now it’s easier for her to see me 🥹 I love PCEF, it’s such a tangible force for good in Portland.

I went to visit family last week in CA, & something I'm constantly reminded of is the fact that public transpo is vital for effective housing reform. Its not bad to loosen restrictions re: parking structure requirements but doing so in an area that has lackluster transpo causes a bevy of issues

There's been a recent street plaza installed in the foster-powell neighborhood and it's very cute! Apparently there's some folks that disagree because they've decided to put signs outside saying "No Plaza!" Which is....odd. I can't imagine being angry at a street plaza in your neighborhood

Every time I hear the news talk about the DSA, I become tempted to join emerge and run for political office
Did I say "Land Back" before performing a song during a pub crawl? Yes yes I did Was I paid to perform and help lead a pub crawl during the renfaire? Yes yes I was.
Something fascinating about Portland politics (& by extension how portlanders talk) is this way of talking around a subject and leaving accusations to be implied. Councilor Zimmerman and Pirtle-Guiney are kinda prime examples of this and you can tell they don't know how to handle direct rebuttals
I think the thing that strikes me the most about everything I hear re: Platner really is Wow white men really can do anything.
