They/Them/It (Void) Nuerospinny with the Beyblade addiction Old enough to have experienced the Beast Wars and had to go back in order to properly appreciate it later. Fated opponent of @marintitaniia.bsky.social

My first podium in one of the most stacked Beyblade locals communities in the UK (imo) From first playing in Nottingham in the monthly ranked of June 2025 when I went 1-5. It's a weekly podium not monthly, but it's a long fought progression milestone and I feel accomplished for this all the same.

So much criticism over this release. I like it conceptually. It has to be first understood bundles like this are meant for getting for multiple kids in one family setting. That said repeated parts making an illegal gameplay state possible out of the single product is objectively bad product design

It just occurred to me that $80 Video Games make it so where Beyblade Stadiums are good financial investments (stadiums average around $50 USD, so significantly less than modern games). You actually get a ton of mileage out of these things at the cost of space.

Sounds like a good idea to venture round an attempt at a supplies run. Not for myself, but as a host in the current situation if I can get a healthy amount of Rush Rods for my play venue we can get more players onboarding going. I hate it but giving Rods as a control is the easiest starting point

UK bladers, entertainer has actually started stocking Beyblade again. I found these in my local Tesco, definitely good to see the Green Wand Wizard for £10 again after the ridiculous scaler prices #beyblade #bbx #beybladex

Every KEY CARD release is one more reason I won't buy a Nintendo Switch 2. Frankly if I can't have the games on physical media there is no reason to not just buy it for my Steam library and have it on rotation instead. And at that point frankly I'd rather load up some rom dumps into emulation.

Starmer saying the next PM will inherit a country that is 'fairer' than the one he inherited 2 years ago. In the one Starmer inherited, trans people could use public toilets.

I realize I am sounding incredibly nihilistic. When it comes to government I am, I admit it. Fact is any party can campaign for whatever they want but can only execute what the civil service will allow/wants. Many of the bosses of the civil service are also business people. Conflict of Interest.

Ok... So that announcement did happen. Oh well, the circus continues~ To be clear I don't think a leadership change will actually change things for the better. I don't trust the process. I don't trust the top brass in the back room. I don't trust the executive members of the civil service.

It's never about protecting the children. That is always a scapegoat, always the line they use when they want to vilify anyone who would stand against a policy. It is the silver bullet used to force truly agriegous control mechanisms that exist not to protect children, but actually control adults.

This is nuts. Yes we need better protections online, but this is a massive overreach by Starmer. For many young people, especially marginalised ones such as trans and neurodivergent, online spaces can be a safe place for them to develop a genuine support community www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...

I have a different problem with GIMP. It crashes. Currently dealing with a bug where just trying to change font/colour the software tries opening a UI window where it isn't supposed to and crashes from a resulting out-of-bounds error. Updating to the latest version 3 patch isn't addressing this.

GIMP is objectively unintuitive and also can’t parse text layers of PSDs properly, it’s designed by FOSS people that have never created tools for professionals. Telling someone to use it for their job is like saying you can make a feature on iMovie. Technically true but not serious.
